It is TC-14, carrying the tray of drinks. BATTLE DROIDS cock their weapons as a figure stumbles out of the smoke. A deadly green cloud billows from the room. The hologram fades off, as a BATTLE DROID, OWO-1, cautiously opens the door. nodding, Obi Wan joins him in taking a deep breathĪ hologram of NUTE, surrounded by BATTLE DROIDS, appears in the conference room hallway. We must get to the control room to negotiate a surrender. Obi Wan and Qui Gon ignite their lightsabers as gas begins to fill the room The comms crackle as a desperate voice announces that Trade Federation forces have taken the station and that the primary command deck is in danger of falling, but the voice is cut off as a blaster shot is heard. Warning Klaxons flare as explosions rock the station. QUI- GON : Those cruisers are moving into low orbit and dispensing landing craft. I just wish that we had our lightsabers for more than just academic sparring and utility sometimes, that’s all … looks up to see Qui Gon has moved away and was staring out of the window, a concerned look on his face Master? Is everything all right? OBI- WAN : You’re right, of course, Master. ![]() War makes a mockery of us all, Obi Wan, you would do well to remember this. We were heroes to the billions we saved, but we were also butchers to billions others that we couldn’t. We were making hard decisions that cost the lives of thousands, sometimes millions, because other decisions would have been worse. ![]() We were doing more than just defeating Sith. QUI- GON : Moving to Obi Wan and placing his hands onto his shoulders Your youth and naiveté is showing, my young apprentice. OBI- WAN : I know that, Master, but the Jedi were needed then! We were out saving the galaxy, battling evil, not motioning to the schematics on the table reviewing design plans for oversights and non-compliance to Senate standards. The Sith Wars were a dark time in the history of the galaxy, one we should be thankful is past, not fondly wishing for. QUI- GON : Be thankful you never have to find out, Obi Wan. They’re enormous! I wonder if this was what it was like to see the Sith war fleets arrive during the Great Sith Wars OBI- WAN : Look at those cruisers, Master. He looks up at his padawan learner and regards him a moment. His master, Qui Gon Jinn, sits at the conference table reviewing station plans and sipping caff. Obi-Wan Kenobi stares out into space, a wistful smile on his lips. ALDERAAN STATION – CONFERENCE ROOM DELTA B ![]() As it is cleared, the camera follows the ship into the docking bay and then pans up the outside of the Station to rest upon … Voices crackle as the ship identifies itself to Alderaan Orbital Control, and requests clearance to land on the station. We follow the ship in to see the speck become a large orbital station, its grand windows gazing out onto the horizon. As the camera lowers towards the bright green and blue planet of Alderaan, we follow a large group of TRADE FEDERATION ships coming out of orbit, one of which heads towards a speck in Alderaan’s orbit.
